Saint Catherine’s launches Spring raffle 2021

Saint Catherine’s has launched a Spring cash raffle in aid of patient care – with a top prize of £2,500!

The raffle will be drawn on Thursday March 25 and the prizes are as follows:

• First prize – £2,500
• Second prize – £250
• Third prize – 5 x £50

Richard Barwick, fundraising operations team leader, said: “The cash raffle is a great way to support patient care at Saint Catherine’s, with every ticket sold helping to raise the £11,000 we need every day to provide our care, free of charge, to patients and their loved ones.”

Peter Parkinson (pictured with his late wife Madge) won the first prize of £2,500 in the Saint Catherine’s raffle last October.

The charity has a special place in Peter’s heart as Madge was cared for by Saint Catherine’s, both in the in-patient unit and by Hospice at Home, before she passed away in September 2019.

Peter said: “We supported Saint Catherine’s even when Madge was alive and when it came to her being looked after, we couldn’t fault it. She was so happy and comfortable right until the end. I can’t speak highly enough of Saint Catherine’s – they were just wonderful.

“I couldn’t believe it when I won the raffle! I was delighted. I’ve never won first prize on anything, ever! I gave some of the winnings to my daughter and granddaughter, and I also donated some back to Saint Catherine’s.

“You could help support patient care too by taking part in the cash raffle. All the profits go towards patient care and you could win a great cash prize!”
