Grants, Trusts and Foundations
Financial support through grants, trusts and foundations are vital in ensuring that Saint Catherine’s can continue to provide outstanding palliative and end of life care to patients and their loved ones.
Our funding
It costs around £5million a year to provide all of the services at Saint Catherine’s and only around a third of our services are funded through the NHS, the rest is made up by a variety of fundraising streams, including grants, trusts and foundations.
Each year, the generous contributions we receive from a wide range of grant-giving organisations enable us to secure essential, specialist equipment and materials, and provide vital services. These funds also drive the growth of innovative new projects, empowering us to continue to deliver the best possible care. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the organisations who have supported us.
Current projects
We are in the growth phase of a number of exciting projects and developments at Saint Catherine’s and we are seeking grants, trusts and foundations to help us deliver these. These include:
– Expansion of our In-Patient Unit
– Renovation of patient rooms on the In-Patient Unit
– New mobile service vehicles
– Offer respite care to carers and families
– Bereavement support
– Support for people with lymphoedema
– Expansion of our Wellbeing Centre’s services
– Renovation of the on-site cafeteria, with a view to opening this up to the general public
