Gary cycles on through the storm to raise funds

A huge thank you to Gary Powell who cycled 500 MILES in just 5 days last week – in some shocking weather! 

Gary cycled for well over seven hours every day – rain or shine – to raise money for patient care in memory of his beloved mum.

He covered some scenic local routes, taking in places such as Hornsea, Withernsea, Whitby and the moors, Helmsley and Malton – getting thoroughly drenched on some days!

Gary was welcomed home on his last day by family and friends, who came out to cheer him on. He said he was a bit tired on Saturday morning – but felt OK by dinner time.

On behalf of everyone at Saint Catherine’s, thank you so much Gary for your amazing achievement. You are a cycling superstar!
