Parachute Day 2024

August 31

Are you ready to take ‘One Giant Leap’?

You’re in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet… You’re sitting at the edge of an open doorway with your feet dangling below you… Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go –free-falling at over 120mph, looking down at the amazing views of the spectacular Yorkshire Coast!

We are working with Skydive GB at Grindale, Bridlington, to give you the adrenaline-fuelled opportunity of a lifetime to take to the skies and jump in memory of a loved one, to tick the box of ‘things I’d like to do’, or as a corporate challenge, whilst raising vital funds for patient care. We are here to help every step of the way.

If skydiving is on your list of ambitions, make 2024 the year to take the plunge! Make a date in your diary for Saturday 31st August 2024 to take to the skies in a challenge like no other.

Who can take part?

Before registering to take part, please ensure you have read the Skydive GB Health and Safety Conditions, alongside our Saint Catherine’s Terms & Conditions:

The jump is a tandem skydive, which means you will be always harnessed to a professional parachute instructor. The jump and training are completed in one day and your instructor will be in control of your landing.

When can I jump?

Our Saint Catherine’s Group date is Saturday, 31st August 2024

If you are unable to make the Saint Catherine’s Group Parachute Day, please get in touch for more information and support to set up your own individual Skydive challenge for a different date.

How much does it cost?

This exhilarating, once in a lifetime experience is just £60 to register. Including the registration fee, the full expense for the skydive, including fundraising is £460. Of this, £249 pays for your skydive jump costs. The remaining minimum £211 sponsorship will go directly to patient care.

Alternatively, we also offer a ‘self-fund’ option for the skydive at a cost of £249 to yourself. All we ask is that you fundraise a further minimum £211 in sponsorship which will go directly to patient care and support.

Where can I jump?

Grindale Airfield is situated near Bridlington, once your reservation has been received,  confirmation details will be sent to you, including a map and directions to the airfield.

And finally…

We hope that you decide to try this thrilling ‘once in a lifetime’ experience, as it’s a fantastic way to raise vital funds for patient care.  You are welcome to bring along your friends and family so they can watch you take One Giant Leap!
