Driffield Fundraising Group raises £15,000

A huge thank you to our Driffield support group – which raised an amazing £15,000 during the past year! 

The support group has just celebrated its 30th year of fundraising for Saint Catherine’s.

Throughout the year members have done many fundraising events including ‘Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend’ at Tickton Grange and ‘Christmas Music and Canapes’ at Burton Agnes Hall.

The group organised ‘A Showstopper Day with Nancy Birtwhistle’ – Nancy won Great British Bake Off in 2014. Nancy did a live demonstration for the guests and showcased her wonderful baking skills.
They raised £4,800 at this event.

Gill, one of the founding members of the group, said: “There are 11 members of our fabulous support group. We meet every couple of months and as required to organise our events.
“I am one of the founding members of the group and we formed 30 years ago to support patient care. I really enjoy being part of this wonderful team, I love the companionship and organising events!
“We get such a lot of support in our local area and we get real satisfaction from what we do!’’

A big thank you to Driffield Golf Club for supporting the group in their efforts.
